Australian platinum-selling hip-hop powerhouse Illy is excited to announce that he will be bringing his Two Degrees tour to Canada this March. The tour is in support of his fifth studio LP of the same name, which garnered the Melbourne MC his first #1 album in Australia. Kicking off on the west coast in Vancouver, BC on March 4, the tour will feature performances in 10 Canadian cities, including first time appearances in Toronto, Montreal and Canmore. Tickets for the tour are available for purchase from All confirmed tour dates are listed below.

2016 proved to be an incredible year for Illy. Even before dropping his fifth studio LP Two Degrees worldwide in November, Illy had already amassed six ARIA (Australia’s Grammy’s/Juno’s) Award nominations, including “Best Male Artist” and “Song of The Year” for his now triple platinum single “Papercuts”. The infectious lead track, which features Sydney-based singer-songwriter Vera Blue, hit #1 on the iTunes Australian charts and #2 on the ARIA singles charts.

Following the release of “Papercuts”, Illy dropped the second single off of Two Degrees titled “Catch 22”. Featuring British songstress Anne-Marie, the track has already been certified Gold in Australia. With “Papercuts” being streamed over 17 million times and “Catch 22” being streamed over 5 million times on Spotify alone, in 2016, Illy became one of the highest streaming artists in Australia, with 1 million monthly listeners, racking up over 20 million streams worldwide.

With a combination of playful musical innovation, undeniable hooks and whip-smart wordplay, Illy has made a habit out of defying expectation across his five studio releases. Since his debut in 2009, the captivating MC has notched up 7 consecutive triple j Hottest 100 entries, two double platinum singles, multiple gold records and an ARIA award for “Best Urban Release” in 2013. While all of this was happening, Illy somehow found the time to start his very own record label, ONETWO, on which his 2013 album, Cinematic, and his latest record Two Degrees was released.

Produced by Grammy-Award winning producer M-Phazes (Eminem, Kimbra), of Two Degrees, Illy says: “President Obama was asked whether he viewed his presidency as a success, having faced such fierce opposition throughout his two terms. His answer likened society to a ship, where you can’t steer 50 degrees at once, but if you move two degrees, then another two degrees, and continue like this, years later you end up in a very different place from where you began. And as long as you’re steering in the right direction, and progressing, your impact is made over time. This album is a celebration of moving forward, two degrees at a time. I hope you enjoy it.”

After years of touring extensively throughout regional and metro Australia, including recently selling out all of his album release shows within days, Illy has honed a solid live show reputation with numerous sold-out headline tours, and appearances at major festivals including Splendour in the Grass, Groovin The Moo, Festival of the Sun and a standout performance at triple j’s One Night Stand in 2014.
