LESS THAN ONE WEEK UNTIL POUZZA FEST 9!

Less than one week until Pouzza Fest 9 takes over the Quartier de Spectacles in beautiful downtown Montreal! More than 170 bands performing in 7 venues including the main stage at the new, bigger and free outdoor site! That’s right, we’ve expanded the outdoor site a whole bunch to include more bars, a beer tent with live music, more food trucks, more activities and tons more vendors from your fav punk rock companies!

THE OUTDOOR SITE IS EXPANDING!

On top of the diverse and vast number of awesome club shows in the six downtown venues (accessed with your Pouzza Pass), the main stage at outdoor site boasts a phenomenal line-up of bands FOR FREE presented by Beau’s All Natural Brewing and Trou Du Diable. The outdoor stage will feature mind blowing performances from Against Me, Andrew WK, The Planet Smashers, Bad Cop Bad Cop, Strung Out, Subb and tons more. We’ve almost doubled the size of the site to provide more space for you to kick back enjoy the best weekend of the year!

WOMEN IN THE SCENE – ROUND TABLE DISCUSSION

Friday May 17 – 3pm in the giant beer tent at the outdoor site

This year’s “Women in the Scene” panel will be discussing issues of gender parity, youth engagement and security in the scene and society. Guests include : Anlin Fan (Rock Camp for Girls and Gender Nonconforming Youth), Jennie Cotterill (Bad Cop Bad Cop), Jordan Joyes (Gallows Bound / United Snakes), Liz Imperiale (Bucketlist), Melanie Kaye (Melanie Kaye PR), Michelle Ayoub (Turbo Haus), Nancy Ross (Greenland Productions), Valerie Knox (Anti-Queens / Black Cat Attack). You’ll have a chance to engage and ask questions directly with the panel after the discussion.

The incomparable Shawna from War On Women will be hosting an Anti-Harassment workshop directly following the panel.

Extra-Curricular Activities: POUZZA BAMBINO, BASEBALL, YOGA, OH MY!

We’re bringing back the classics! Join us for Pouzza Bambino starting at 10am on Saturday for tons of activities for kids and their parents. Musical performances from Danny Rebel, Swarmz and Ogikubo Station, temporary tattoos from real Tattoo artists, bouncy castles and a bunch of surprises that will be sure to please the kids and parent alike.

It just wouldn’t be Pouzza Fest without the Pouzza Grand Slam baseball tournament! Ten punk rock teams fiercely competing for the coveted championship, beer and bbqs are all on the agenda Saturday and Sunday at Parc Lafontaine!

And finally, shake off your Saturday night fuzzies with a guided Punk Rock Yoga session at the outdoor site Sunday morning, so you’re in good shape to survive the last day of the fest!
