MINT LEOPARD came alive inside the muggy heat of the 2015 Cincinnati summer…this all, of course, following an alien separation between members of a pre-existing musical union that had been studying at schools on opposite ends of America.
By the end of June, Jax Hughes(lead vox/guitar) had returned from out West and Alex Masset(lead guitar/vox) and Ben Hammer(keys/synths/vox) had returned from the East coast. Soon they quit school in order to follow “the feeling” and met back with Justin Van Wagenen(drums) to begin crafting a new batch of home-brewed Cincy psych-jazz rock n roll. The musical reincarnate was, thus, named MINT LEOPARD and thrust out into the world to chase its rock n roll visions to the grave.
Their début single, “Progress In The Evenin” was recently released online with a music video July 22—recorded and produced by Loren Turner(of Foxy Shazam). The dudes plan to tour extensively this Fall throughout the Midwest in support of that and several other singles and videos to come.
