MUTANK to Represent Quebec at the Wacken Battle Canada Final Round in Toronto

Wacken Battle Canada Finale - May 28th, 2014 - Montreal, Quebec

The semi finals were upon us at Katacombes to see who gets to travel to Toronto to compete for a chance to play Wacken Open Air in Germany. It is no surprise MUTANK stole this one. MUTANK’s “I don’t give a shit” humble attitude along with their obvious ridiculous talent is what is making this band move far, fast. They are Bucketlist’s featured band for a reason!

Mutank-3They were faced with some serious competition. Reminding me of the last battle En Route Vers heavy the bands playing tonight were very diverse in musical genre. Hidden Pride punched us with some heavy deathcore/grindcore, and Ogenix had their industrial metal thing going on. Fanachronic brought us some prog thrash that made for a really good time. Congratulations to all these bands for making it this far.

June 7th, 2014 is the day of the final round to be held at The Opera House. Who will go to Wacken Open Air? Finalists are: My Hollow (Toronto), Burning The Day (Toronto), Neck of the Woods (Vancouver), Exit Strategy (Calgary) and Mutank. Toronto’s Skull Fist will be joining the lineup as a special guest.
