Record What You Got, Pay What You Want! – FLIP Studio Offers Month Long Open House to First Time Patrons

After a successful first year of business, NDG local Benjy Sherer is opening the doors of FLIP the industry’s recording studio headquarters to any and all artists curious about this progressive new business. For the entire month of October, musicians of any age and skill level will have the opportunity to make use of any of FLIP’s numerous services – which include live demos and studio quality recordings as well as live videos – on a pay what you can basis.

Since its inception in 2015, FLIP has recorded and worked with numerous Montreal acts including The Record Breakers, The Day Dreamers, The Om Sound, JD Sage, and Safe in Sound. Commenting on his business’ philosophy, Sherer was quoted as saying “everywhere I go, musicians are being taken advantage of and ripped off. FLIP is dedicated to helping emerging Montreal bands by bringing professional-grade production, recordings and guidance within reach of the less initiated.

A fundraiser show will be held on Friday September 23rd at the Crowley Arts Center in NDG featuring a number of talented local artists. Benjy himself will be MC-ing the evening and there will be numerous sponsorship packages available for contributors. The event will be live-streamed through social media. Located in the old Pathé building just seconds away from Vendome metro and train station, the open house will begin on October 1st and is expected to run for the entire month.

  1. Hello I am making an animation short and need to tape one line. Is anyone able to tape with me that one line using their voice. I am looking for a male and the mike. It is a film about prejudice. The line needs reverb and fade at the end The line is about 7 seconds long.
