Rockalypse Returns with a 4th edition and Incredible Prizes

Rockalypse offers independent, emerging rock bands the opportunity to tour, play festivals, perform in a theatre full of people, and promote their music internationally. For the 4th year in a row, the contest provides incredible prizes for the competing bands.

The event will take place on Saturday March 16th 2019, at the Centre Leonardo Da Vinci in Saint-Leonard. A total of 11 rock bands will be performing in an all-ages theatre in front of music industry professionals. This year, the judging panel includes: Alex Martel (founder of Montebello Rockfest), Steve Pageot (Grammy award winning producer), and Virginie Ouellet (Assistant Manager at Envol Et Macadam).

The bands will be competing for a chance to win two main prizes. The 1st place prize is an expenses-paid tour in Italy which includes a performance at the Subiaco Rock & Blues Festival in August. The 2nd place prize is a performance at Envol Et Macadam in Quebec City in September, the first alternative music festival in the province with an average attendance of
25,000 people. Other prizes will also be provided by the sponsors.

Adam Radimiri, lead singer of Starstruck Avenue, the band who won 1st place at Rockalypse last year, says the following: “Participating to Rockalypse is totally worth it, no matter what the outcome is. Our experience in Italy was just perfect, the food, iconic sites, the people. The shows were exactly how we imagined them to be, great sound techs, great crowds. We had the time of our lives and we will never forget it.

Rockalypse ticket information and other details will be available on the event page.
