Wayne Static Dies of Overdose at 48 Years Old

Wayne Static, long time frontman of Static-X passed away last night of an overdose at 48 years old. He was planning a tour with his new project, Pighammer, and they were going to join the classic Powerman 5000.

Static X formed in 1994 and released their first album, Wisconsin Death Trip in 99. Six successful albums, and many band member changes later, Wayne being the only original member, decided to start his solo project Pighammer.

A tragic loss of talent and a good soul belonging to the music community leaves many artists in shock by this unexpectful incident:
